Dingo
Male Belgium Shephard x
|
| | |
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Pocket-sized Belgium Shepherd wanna-be for sale! Dingo is super smart, slender, medium sized male with a soft coat and lots of energy. Being very dog and human friendly, he currently enjoys playing all day with his doggy friends, and getting patted and fussed over by his human family after his energy levels are depleted. He walks well on the lead and is a quick learner using a clicker. So far we have learnt sit, drop, heel and wave. Being 15months old, Dingo is at a fantastic age to bond with a new family, and learn a variety of obedience skills. Suitable for an active home which will continue his training, preferably with a doggy playmate.

Hannah
Female German Shepherd -
|
| | |
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Hannah is a very good looking active girl.
She is very food orientated with her training it is easy to get her attention.
She has basic training and will require a home that will continue that.
While Hannah seems to be quite happy to play with other dogs in her own yard she does not respond well to other dogs while on a lead.
She would be better suited to a family happy to spend the time exercising and playing in the backyard rather then walks to the park.
She still acts like a puppy and loves to play and will happily spend the day lounging in the sun or showing off her toys to you.

Oscar
Male Cross Breed (Labrador size) -
|
| | |
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Sponsorship Required
Oscar can be a little timid with new things, however, once he is comfortable, he is VERY smart and the life of the party.
He gains security from calm, confident people and especially from confident dogs. For this reason, she would probably not suit children under 10 or so and should not be an only dog.
It would be fantastic if Oscar could stay with his sister Charli (also on this page) but obviously this may not be possible.
Oscar has had basic obedience training (SIT, COME, STAY, HEEL) and has good manners with food.
Oscar is located in the inner west of Sydney.

Mia
Female x breed -
|
| | |
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Mia is the sweetest and most playful girl who loves her belly rubs. It appears that Mia looks was hit by a car prior to ending up in the pound and has a partially healed fracture in the lower leg and her hip is slightly separated, which means she will limp on occasions after a big run around. The vet believes that this will not stop her from living a normal dogs life. She is not any pain and runs around and plays madly just the same as any normal puppy although she will slide out if taking a turn too fast to the right probably caused by the leg being slightly shorter due to the break. She is great with other dogs and loves nothing better than tearing around the yard either chasing or being chased. When she is not in a running mood, she loves a game of tug with anybody who is willing. She is a tough little cookie who likes to play hard but who does not get upset if she is on her own and will often be found either snuggled into another dog or happily lying on her own bed. She is not sure how to behave around cats but is learning slowly from a very tough teacher. Currently in care in the Shellharbour area.

Alice
Female Min Pinscher -
|
| | |
|
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Alice is a striking looking little charmer. She is very energetic and must go to a home with another young canine companion. She loves to play both with children and another young dog. (She’s great with Missy who is also available for adoption). She loves her food and will eat anything you put in front of her. We do recommend children over 5 as Alice loves to lick your face, whether you’re a dog or a human and small children can be a bit started by this. Don’t be deceived by her bouncy personality though, when night comes this girl loves to jump into your lap and will stay for hours. We don’t know if she is house trained but we have found her quite well behaved & comfortable inside. She’s very fond of the couch and human /canine companionship. This girl is quite intelligent and if she especially likes you she’ll even talk to you

Missy
Female chihuahua x -
|
| | |
|
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Missy is an incredibly sweet girl who loves a cuddle. She is still only quite young, so she enjoys her chew toys and playing with other young dogs. She would especially love a family that has children between 5-10 as she absolutely loves playing with them and being picked up and cuddled. She has learnt to sit, however she is not house trained. She could be trained, however we think that another dog and young children are the keys to her perfect home. She gets along extremely well with Alice her foster sister, and they happily play for hours on end.

Pipkin
Female Maltese -
|
| | |
|
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Pipkin, weighing only 2.5kgs, is the softest (literally and physically), sweetest, friendliest little angel you will ever meet. She loves all the dogs and humans, and they love her. She loves pats and cuddles and snuggling close with you while you sit, although she's happy enough to sit close by. She will follow you around the house like a little shadow. She's loves to be inside and is very happy and quiet when she is. She's very lively in the morning and loves to get up early to play with her best mate,

Hazel
Female Maltese -
|
| | |
|
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Hazel is a little nugget, small but sturdy and strong. She is a like a big dog but shrunken into a small dog's body. She is a great guard dog and will warn you of visitors, or strangers, but doesn't bark excessively if allowed access to the house. She, like her friend Pipkin, will follow you around the house, and will sit close by you. She is frightened by too many boisterous dogs and does tend to react angrily, however she's becoming more socialised and is improving vastly. She would suit an owner who has patience and confidence. She is very sweet, extremely cute and loyal.

Herbie & Darcey
2 male staffy x -
|
| | |
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Herbie is an all white 'Love Bug'. He loves to cuddle and is such a big
sook. He is always the first to run up to you and say hello.
He can be quite shy, especially around men. But once he gets to know you, he
is super sweet!
He has spent all his time with other dogs and people and I think he will do
really well in a home that has people around often to play with and love him
or a home that may have another dog. If he could go to a home with his
brother he would love it!
He does get along well with young children too and when he grows up, he will
be a wonderful companion.
Darcy is quite independent but also a big sook! He loves to be around people
but not always having a cuddle, just being near you.
He loves to play and gets along well with other dogs and young children.
As he too has spent all his time with other dogs and people, I think he will
do well in a home with other dogs or people around often to play with him
and keep him company.
If he could go to a home with his brother, he would love that too!

Sam
Male Border Collie x cattle? -
5 and a half months
|

|
Photograph not preserved in the archive.

I have loads of energy and need lots of exercise. I had a rough start to life, neglected and dumped at the pound as a pup with my siblings I was then attacked by another dog and I really wasn’t coping very well. I was then taken into care by my foster mum Kim to be given one on one attention and with lots of encouragement, training and in the company of a confident doggy friend, I am now a happy healthy young lad. I can give attention when requested, sit, lie down, leave things, stay, come when called and I walk well on a lead. I need an owner who has had experience with dogs, is kind, and only uses positive training techniques, because that's what my foster mum has taught me. I am a lovable boy who would do well in the company of another young dog, and also where I am able to live inside/outside with my family. I would suit a family with an active lifestyle that I could be a big part of. My foster mum is a dog trainer who is offering to help me and my new family settle in together with advice and ongoing training if needed.

Toby
Male Pug x Beagle -
|
| | |
|
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Toby is a friendly, energetic young dog who can still act like a puppy. He loves kids and other dogs although still needs to learn some social skills as he can be a little bit annoying for some dogs. He would very much suit an active family and would be great with another energetic dog. He is learning housetraining and is doing great, I think this is because he absolutely loves being inside with everybody. He is quite good to walk on a lead and is fantastic in the car which he loves. Toby will need some ongoing training to become a wonderful member of the family. He is being cared for in the Wollongong area.

Photograph not preserved in the archive.
**On Hold Pending Vet Assessment**
Sponsorship Required
Khoda is currently under vet assessment after being diagnosed with hip dysplasia and inflammation of the spine. On top of this he has developed a septic infection of his front leg which he probably picked up from his mother when only a young puppy. This means poor Khoda is in quite a bit of pain at the moment but the infection should heal under the treatment he is now on. His hips are being monitored while he undergoes treatment and further diagnosis will be given in a few weeks.

Cleo is livelier than her sister Dom (below). Always the first one up and the last to bed!! If you live a more active lifestyle Cleo is more suited to you. Cleo is also the shyer sister but once she has gotten to know you, you'll struggle to get 5 minutes alone! Cleo has taken a little bit longer than Dom to get used to walking on the harness but is now a fabulous exercise companion!!
Neither of the girls are barkers and have both been so well behaved when guests have come over.

Scottie
Male Smooth Collie x -
|
| | |
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Photograph not preserved in the archive.
Scottie has definitely been a house dog before. He is house trained and not at all bothered by normal household noises. All he wants to be near a human and he will curl up quietly. Every now and then you may get a gentle nudge with a soft nose to remind you he is still there and would like some attention please. He walks well on a lead,
sits quietly on the seat looking out the window in the car and really isn't a bother at all. Scottie seems to be a little overwhelmed by large dogs when he first meets them and maybe would prefer a home with small dogs. In fact, so far it seems he would be fine on his own as he doesn't really interact much with my dog but then they both like their own space. He is a real gentle sooky boy who really likes children.
Scottie is very thin with ribs showing but there is nothing wrong with his appetite so with lots of TLC he should be back to normal in no time at all. Scottie is smaller than a pure bred Collie, standing approximately 48cm at the shoulder, very fine boned and who currently weighs in at little under 12 kg. Scottie would make a wonderful addition to the family.
